St. Alban’s Episcopal Church
Position Description—Priest in Charge
St. Alban’s Episcopal Church seeks a Priest in Charge who will enrich our worship, expand our outreach, and grow our membership. This is a perfect opportunity for a priest to share his or her gifts with a dedicated, faithful congregation. The successful candidate will be an exceptional preacher; a person whose sermons both teach and inspire the congregation. Our Priest in Charge also needs to be a visionary—a person who can not only craft a vision for St. Alban’s but can lead the congregation to accomplish that vision. And finally, recognizing our long history of community outreach and community involvement, we believe that our efforts are enhanced when our priest plays a leadership role in our community.
St. Alban’s was founded by a small group of dedicated parishioners over 65 years ago.
We still offer a committed group of congregants that has overcome adversity through hard work, perseverance, and faith in God. Our spirit has grown over the last few years along with our membership and our pledges. We also offer an outstanding physical plant—a beautiful sanctuary, chapel, parish hall and classroom complex located in the heart of downtown.
